There is no downtime after this procedure, and virtually no limitations or restrictions. Some patients may experience mild redness, swelling, and tenderness in the treated areas, which can last up to 48 hours. While results vary, cosmetic improvements are typically seen around 4 to 6 months after the first treatment and can continue to improve for up to a year. Since PRP is not a permanent solution for hair loss, repeat treatments are recommended every 9-18 months. It’s important to note that PRP does not grow new hair follicles in bald areas; rather, it helps reverse the miniaturization of existing follicles, promoting healthier, thicker, and longer hair strands.
